Did you make it to Galatoire's at all? I think it's much better these days than Commanders, although you have to queue up for the real dining room and wear a jacket.
I didn't, no, though thanks — have added it to my list in case I ever make it back to the city. Commander's was really the only old school fine dining we did, then a couple more modern places (Mosquito Supper Club, Acamaya) for our other big dinners.

Sounds like a great list. I missed Mosquito the last time I was there and really regretted it.
Mosquito was good, definitely worth checking out if you go back, I had the best crab of the whole trip there. I thought the wine was excellent too.
